1) Read a novel of your choice independently for at least twenty minutes.

d’écrire quatre jours de menus comme astronaute.
Attention – il faut choisir
des repas nutritifs! Un muffin n’est pas assez pour le petit déjeuner! En
espace, on travaille fort, donc il faut bien manger!

Il faut
aussi garder compte de combien de différents aliments que tu choisis. (Combien
de boissons? Combien d’aliments thermostabilisés?) Comme conclusion, donne le nombre total des

For Parents:
Maths: Students should estimate the given multiplications with decimal numbers, then send me by email their answers. Students should then work on today's problem to solve: they have to place ten playing cards (A (1) - 10) in a 4 x 3 rectangle so that the sum of each side is the same. They should email me when they find a possible solution, or if they need a hint.French: Students should do some independent French reading. There is a list of options on the Francais page. Students should say out loud several times today's tongue twister. Students should practice their oral comprehension today by watching the short video and answering the questions in their writing notebook.
Science: If not finished yesterday, students should complete this task today. In their duotang, they have two pages to plan out four days of menus as if they were astronauts. The link above gives three pages of possible food options. The meals must be nutritious and balanced - a muffin is not enough for breakfast in space! Also, they need to keep track of how many of each type of food they choose - how many beverages? how many thermostabilized food items? to give a final total for the four days.
Social Studies:Today students will have the chance to see some of my photos from my trip to Juno Beach in France.
