Here is the list of today's learning tasks:

Mathématiques:

Il faut bien lire les directives pour compléter le dessin. Ensuite, regarde le dessin pour répondre aux questions.

Français:

1) Vérifie la page FRANÇAIS pour voir la liste de choix pour la lecture. Fais de la lecture autonome.

2) Dis le vire-langue suivant à haute voix trois fois :

Levé tôt, Bibo met son beau manteau et dit « Allô! »

3) Peux-tu faire un train de sons?

Par exemple : soupe - petit – tigre - grenouille

Il faut placer les mots suivants ensemble pour former un train (comme des dominoes). Écris-le dans ton cahier d’écriture.

English Language Arts:
1) Read a novel of your choice independently for at least twenty minutes.

2) Continue working on writing your book review first draft in your writing notebook. See the ELA page for the components of a book review and questions to ask yourself when you are writing opinions about a novel.

3)Time for some Listening & Viewing! Watch this video:

then answer the following questions in your writing notebook:
a) Did the music help tell the story?
b) Did the video end how you predicted?
c) Is the video trying to send a message?
d) What did you think of this video?
*Remember to fully answer each question with your opinions, justifications and details.

Dans ton duotang, il y a deux pages avec le titre Mon menu personnel comme astronaute.

C’est à toi d’écrire quatre jours de menus comme astronaute.

 Attention – il faut choisir des repas nutritifs! Un muffin n’est pas assez pour le petit déjeuner! En espace, on travaille fort, donc il faut bien manger!

Il faut aussi garder compte de combien de différents aliments que tu choisis. (Combien de boissons? Combien d’aliments thermostabilisés?)  Comme conclusion, donne le nombre total des quatre jours.

Sciences Humaines:

Dans ton duotang, il y a une page appellée Jour J : Le Débarquement en chiffres. La page donne un résumé du Jour J en tenant compte des nombres importants. Décide où placer les nombres suivants sur la page. (Les réponses seront affichées demain)

For Parents:

Maths:  Students should practice estimating multiplications with decimal numbers.
Students have a page to complete about integers - either by printing the page or by simply writing down the answers on a page. They have to carefully follow the directions to complete a drawing. Then, they use the completed drawing to answer the questions. Students could play an integer practice game - Integer War is my favorite: same rules as the card game War, but all the red cards are negative numbers!

French: Students should do some independent French reading. There is a list of options on the Francais page. Students should say out loud several times today's tongue twister. Students should try to put together the list of words so that they link together by sound - like dominoes. Example: water - terrific - fiction

Science: Students have today and tomorrow to complete this task. In their duotang, they have two pages to plan out four days of menus as if they were astronauts. The link above gives three pages of possible food options. The meals must be nutritious and balanced - a muffin is not enough for breakfast in space! Also, they need to keep track of how many of each type of food they choose - how many beverages? how many thermostabilized food items? to give a final total for the four days.

Social Studies: Students should decide where to put the listed numbers above on their page in their duotang. This page gives a summary of D-Day through numbers. Then, if they so choose, they could watch the three short videos to learn even more. Please be aware that the first has cartoon violence and the other two documentaries have actual battle footage and a mild language warning.
