The Learning Journey: TUESDAY Edition!

2) Pratique ton français oral! Aujourd'hui, essaie un poème. Vérifie la page FRANÇAIS pour voir les choix.


3) Clique le lien ci-dessous pour lire deux bandes dessinées.

Poetry Performance
Now, practice your poetry performance: are there any words you're not sure about? what kind of expression will you use? which words need emphasis? what kind of emotion will you use? how will you make the poem come alive? 

When you're ready to perform, present your poem to someone in your household. Watch them leap up in a well-deserved standing ovation!

For Parents:
Maths: Students should complete the attached page. For each given pattern, they have to draw the next figure and describe in words how the pattern develops.
French: Students should do their daily independent French reading - there is a list of options on the Francais page. Why not read a comic? Students should do their daily oral French practice - today they should recite a poem - there is a list of new options on the Francais page.  Students should then carefully read the two short comics attached. They then have to answer questions about their reading.Once finished, they should send their answers to Mme.



Science:  No assignment today.

Social Studies: No assignment today.

Mathématiques:

1) Vérifie tes réponses de vendredi: elles sont affichées à la page CALCUL MENTAL.

2) Clique le lien ci-dessous pour voir le travail d’aujourd’hui. 
On calcule la division de l’argent pour résoudre des problèmes.

For Parents:
Maths: Students should first correct their work from Friday by checking the answers on the CALCUL MENTAL page. They should then find today's assignment. Students need to calculate the division of a monetary amount to solve the given problem. For example: if two slices of pizza cost 5,50$, how much does each slice cost?  They should send their solutions to Mme.

French: Students should do their daily independent French reading - there is a list of options on the Francais page. Students should do their daily oral French practice - today they should repeat a tongue twister - there is a list of options on the Francais page.  Students should then do more reading! On the Francais page there is a list of Bandes dessinees (comics). Students should check them out!


Science:  No assignment today.


Social Studies: No assignment today.

Maths: Students should find today's mental math work - we are practicing dividing money. There are also how-to photos and videos on the CALCUL MENTAL page of the blog.

French: Students should do their daily independent French reading - there is a list of options on the Francais page. Students should do their daily oral French practice - there is a list of options on the Francais page.  Students should then click the link to see today's writing assignment. They are asked to imagine they meet an alien and have to give him step-by-step directions how to be something or someone. There is an example text: how to be a tree. There is also a page with possible verbs that can be used when writing.
