et demain on pratique la multiplication de l’argent – c’est essentiellement la
multiplication des nombres décimaux!

Tu peux
jouer le jeu avec quelqu’un d’autre ou tout seul, toi contre toi. Pour jouer le
jeu, lance le dé et remplis toutes les cases. Quel pirate a le plus de trésor?
Les autres
pages : tu vas voir des situations avec les prix. Invente une équation (ça
coûte combien 5 maïs soufflés? ça coûte combien trois enfants à Disney?) et
calcule le prix total. Tu peux vérifier ta réponse avec une calculatrice.

English Language Arts:
1) Read a novel of your choice independently for at least twenty minutes.
2) Challenge someone else to a round of Think Quick! Set a timer for one minute, give them a random topic (such as dirty socks, being lost, sunshine, tacos with salsa) and see if they can speak fluently about the subject without long pauses, the word um, or overusing the word like. Now - it's your turn!

For Parents:
Maths:
Students will be working on this task today and tomorrow. They should practice multiplying money - which is essentially multiplying decimal numbers! There are step-by-step instructions and videos on the Calcul Mental page.There is a link to several practice pages which can be printed or not. The first can be played as a game - you roll the dice several times to fill in the boxes, then multiply to determine which pirate has the most treasure. The other three pages have situations with prices. Students should invent an equation: what would five small popcorns cost? what would it cost for three kids to go to Magic Kingdom? After figuring out the answer to their equation, they could verify with a calculator to make sure they're on the right track.
French: Students should do their daily independent French reading - there is a list of options on the Francais page. Students should do their daily oral French practice - there is a list of options on the Francais page. Students should then complete the attached drawing and write directions to explain how. If they cannot print the page, they can simply draw and write in their writing notebook.
Science: No assignment today.
Social Studies: Students should complete the World War II evaluation. If they cannot print the page, they can simply write down their answers on a page. Students should use all the information in their social studies duotang to complete this evaluation. When finished, they should send their work to Mme McKenzie.
