For Parents:
Maths: Students should practice estimating multiplications with decimal numbers.Students have two pages to complete about integers - either by printing the pages or by simply writing down the answers on a page. Students could play an integer practice game - Integer War is my favorite: same rules as the card game War, but all the red cards are negative numbers!
French: Students should do some independent French reading. There is a list of options on the Francais page. Oral French practice: students should use all the given words to invent two different sentences and say them out loud. Students should read the given text and answer the questions. Instead of printing the page, they could write their answers in their writing notebook.
Science: Students should access the video on YouTube to find out more information about the Canadians who have been to space. They should complete the questions and the chart in their duotang. There are also a few bonus videos to watch if students so choose.
Social Studies: If not finished yesterday, students should read the information about the Liberation of the Netherlands and write down the important details in their duotang. They should then watch the listed videos. Please be aware the first documentary has actual video footage of the war as well as starving citizens of the Netherlands and a mild language warning.
