English Language Arts:
1) Read a novel of your choice independently for at least twenty minutes.
2) Make sure your Book Review draft is finished and has been thoroughly revised. Check out the ELA page for tips and hints.

Poetry Performance
Now, practice your poetry performance: are there any words you're not sure about? what kind of expression will you use? which words need emphasis? what kind of emotion will you use? how will you make the poem come alive?
When you're ready to perform, present your poem to someone in your household. Watch them leap up in a standing ovation!

For Parents:
Maths: Students should check the Calcul Mental page to see step by step how to multiply decimal numbers. Then, they should try today's equations on their own.French: Students should do some independent French reading. There is a list of options on the Francais page. Oral French practice: students should use all the given words to invent two different sentences and say them out loud. Students should copy down today's question (Do we need others to be happy?) in their writing notebook and then write down their opinions with justification and detail.
Science: Students should access the Canadian Space Agency site to find information about all the Canadians who have been to space. They should complete the chart in their duotang - but it's a challenge: the missions on their page are not listed in order! There are also a few bonus videos to watch if students so choose.
Social Studies: Students have today and tomorrow to complete this task. They should read the information about the Liberation of the Netherlands (on the Sciences Humaines page) and write down the important details in their duotang. They should then watch the listed videos. Please be aware the first documentary has actual video footage of the war as well as starving citizens of the Netherlands and a mild language warning.
